Didn’t take long to see my first tweet about Burt Reynolds' passing with a photo of Tom Selleck. I imagine it won’t be the last.

I guess I’m going to have to find other ways to make myself smarter.

(But I love the “Argument Clinic” sketch; does that count?)

Itā€™s been a day. And the work day is still going.

You know it’s bad when an entire country leaves Twitter. ;)

Muted all political and religious feeds on Twitter. All I have left are baseball, weather, and dogs. Life could be far worse.

Anybody out there have a ā€œmorning pagesā€ habit? Do you keep it up in an analog fashion, or do you do so digitally (say, on a website like 750words.com)?

Iā€™m terrible with disciplines like this, but Iā€™m considering giving this a shot for the possible therapeutic benefit.

Went to the city for brunch with friends I havenā€™t seen in years. Almost backed out because I feel so old and pudgy. I mean, I am old and pudgy. But it turns out weā€™re all old, and only some of us are pudgy ā€” but it turns out thatā€™s okay.

Three straight late evenings of work at home is enough. Time for a civilized nightā€™s rest. ā€˜Night.

So, I had to guess my kidā€™s favorite color during Curriculum Night. I said ā€œblue, pink, or purple.ā€

She said ā€œcerulean, violet, or rose.ā€

I wasnā€™t necessarily wrong.

Cerulean? Who the hell says ā€œceruleanā€ in fifth grade?
